Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer’s family recently shared a heartfelt Easter message. His wife, Gemmi, posted a simple greeting on Instagram that resonated with fans.
“HE IS RISEN INDEED. Happy Easter,” read Gemmi Schottenheimer's Instagram post caption.
This post reflects the Schottenheimer family’s Christian faith with the classic Resurrection Sunday declaration. It received warm engagement, with fans sending love and referencing the family’s strong bond.
The post featured Gemmi herself, Brian, and their two children, Sutton Schottenheimer and Savannah Schottenheimer. Sutton (born 2004) and Savannah (born 2005) stood smiling with their parents, highlighting the close-knit ties between them.
The Schottenheimer family’s Easter greeting shows a deeper commitment to faith that has guided them through the highs and lows of professional football.
Gemmi’s Instagram post, featuring the entire family united in celebration, resonated with many followers who appreciated the authenticity.
Her faith has not stayed in the background. It has shown up consistently on her social media, including a late-October post featuring “God is in Dallas” NHIM apparel, where she paired with a caption quoting Matthew 10:32.
The message comes during a busy offseason for Brian, who is in his second year as head coach of the Cowboys. He previously served as a consultant and an offensive coordinator for the team.
This post serves as a quiet reminder that, amid the demands of NFL coaching, family and faith remain central for the Schottenheimers.
Brian Schottenheimer Has Often Credited his Family as His Foundation
Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer frequently opens up about the central role his family plays in both his personal life and coaching career.
He has repeatedly described “Faith, Family, and Football” as his three guiding “whys.” This is a philosophy he even has tattooed on his left forearm.
Schottenheimer has spoken emotionally about his late father, legendary coach Marty Schottenheimer. At his introductory press conference in January 2025, he said via the Dallas Cowboys website:
“My father was a legendary coach, a great man, but he was an incredible father. He’s impacted me more than anyone in this profession," Brian said last year about his father, Marty Schottenheimer. "I know he’s looking down on me. I know he’s proud.”
He further revealed his close bond with his wife Gemmi, whom he met in 2001, and their two children, son Sutton and daughter Savannah. Their strong Christian faith and tight-knit support have kept them grounded.
As the Cowboys prepare for the upcoming draft and free agency, Schottenheimer continues to lean on his family. Their story showcases how personal relations can fuel professional perseverance in one of the most demanding sports.
