The Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown recently celebrated a major milestone off the field, missing the start of OTAs as he was preparing for his wedding.

Overshown tied the knot with his fiancée Alexis Babino at the Villa in Tyler, Texas, on June 6. The couple has two kids together, 3-year-old DeMarvion Jr. and 1-year-old Texas Lee Overshown.

"Cowboys DeMarvion Overshown got married to his bride Alexis over the weekend," NFL reporter Brandon Loree's X post read. "Congratulations to the Overshowns."

The couple recently spoke about how holding the wedding in East Texas was what they preferred, as they wanted to share the happy occasion with close friends and family in their hometown.

"Getting married in East Texas is extremely important to us," Babino said, per CBS 19TV. "Just the fact that we can be at home and share this moment with everybody."

The ceremony was attended by former teammates, coaches, and members of the Dallas Cowboys franchise.

The Cowboys' head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, Linebackers coach Scott Symons, and tight ends coach Lunda Wells were present at the wedding.

Overshown's former teammate from the University of Texas, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, and former Cowboys and New York Jets defensive tackle Mazi Smith also attended the wedding.

“When you’ve gone through the blood, sweat, and tears with guys, and they show up to moments like this, it means the world,” Overshown said.

Overshown suffered a knee injury that included tears in the ACL, MCL, and PCL around the Week 13 game with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2024.

He missed the season-ending games in 2024 and sat out until Week 11 of the 2025 season.

He credited his wife, Babino, for helping him through the tough time post-surgery and during rehab.

Overshown described himself as "a brand new man" after tying the knot, saying he already felt "times 10 aura", though some fans responded with a humorous warning for the newlywed.

Fans Issue Playful Warning to Newlywed Overshown

Overshown may be enjoying his newlywed life, but NFL fans couldn't resist having a little fun at his expense, while wishing him well for the new phase in life.

One fan warned him to be careful while dancing with his wife after the ceremony, to not risk injury.

"Let's hope he doesn't throw his hip out and shows up on the PUP list," the comment read.

Another fan reminded him to land a Super Bowl ring this season, along with the wedding ring.

"Time to get another ring," the user stated.

Many fans conveyed their best wishes for the couple's well-being.

"Congratulations to the beautiful couple. Pray for many, many years of happiness and prosperity," a third comment shared.

Some fans were simply happy to see Overshown settling down and showed their love for the moment.

"Agent O locking it down," the comment read.

One fan didn't forget to bring in the divisional rivalry in the NFC East division with the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Congratulations! 7-11 #gobirds," the final cheeky take read.

While fans had some jokes and reminders for Overshown, most were simply happy to see the Cowboys linebacker celebrate a major milestone off the field.
