The Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown tied the knot with his fiancée Alexis Babino at the Villa in Tyler, Texas, on June 6.
“A brand new man,” Overshown said about his marriage, per CBS 19 TV. “I already feel like I'm times 10 aura.”
He was absent from the Cowboys OTAs, which began on June 1, as he had wedding activities to attend to ahead of the big occasion.

The couple, who share two children, 3-year-old DeMarvion Jr. and 1-year-old Texas Lee Overshown, held a star-studded wedding, attended by several of Overshown's current and former teammates and coaches.
The Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was spotted wearing a Cowboys hat at Overshown's wedding. His former teammate from the University of Texas and Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was also present at the wedding.
"When you've gone through the blood, sweat, and tears with guys, and they show up to moments like this, it means the world," Overshown said about the brotherhood, per CBS19TV.
Overshown suffered a knee injury that included tears in the ACL, MCL, and PCL during a Week 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals in 2024, making him miss the season-ending games in 2024 and be sidelined until Week 11 of the 2025 season.
Overshown credited his wife, Babino, for helping him through the rehab process and tough times post-surgery.
"You wake up from a surgery like that, your mental state is not as well," Overshown said. "But she was the one to calm me down. She was the one to make sure I got home, make sure I was eating and taking care of myself."
Alexis Babino, a graduate of Tyler Junior College, said that getting married in their hometown is a "full-circle moment," as they wanted to share this happy occasion with their close friends and family.
With a successful recovery and a new chapter in his personal life, the linebacker has plenty to look forward to in the 2026 season.
Overshown Embraces Contract Year With Confidence
During the Cowboys Charity Home Run Derby event in early May, Overshown expressed confidence in his performance, entering his last year in the rookie contract.
“It’s football for me,” Overshown said, per Tommy Yarrish of the Dallas Cowboys.com. “Contract year or not, I have to come out here and play my best."
He is entering the final year of a four-year, $5.39 million rookie deal with the Cowboys. He recorded 90 tackles (56 solo), five sacks, and eight tackles for loss in 2024 with the Cowboys before his knee injury in 2024.
"The fact I get to go through this full offseason as a healthy man and coming into training camp healthy,” Overshown said. “I feel like people ain’t seen my best yet. So I know it’s gonna be one of my best years.”
He was ranked No. 8 in Jeremy Fowler's list of the top-10 linebackers in the league going into the 2025 season. Despite playing only 19 games and 927 snaps in the NFL, Overshown showed considerable promise in 2024. His 2025 performance, however, was more in line with average expectations.
With a new personal milestone and a crucial season approaching, Overshown has plenty to look forward to. Share your thoughts in the comments.
