Cowboys fans celebrate 4th of July with major hopes for the NFL season

The Dallas Cowboys wished fans a happy Independence Day on social media, and the responses quickly turned into a wave of optimism for the upcoming 2026 season.

On July 4, the Dallas Cowboys’ official X account shared a brief Independence Day message for its fans.

“Happy Independence Day,” posted on X. “#CowboysNation”

Dallas won their last NFC Championship in 1995. Last season was no different for Dallas, finishing 7-9-1. The offense held its own, ranking seventh in the league, but the defense let things slip badly, finishing near the bottom.

The Cowboys enter the 2026 season looking to bounce back from a disappointing season under head coach Brian Schottenheimer, with QB Dak Prescott and new WR George Pickens expected to lead the offense while Christian Parker takes over as defensive coordinator.

The Cowboys open their 2026 training camp on July 28 at Oxnard, with players reporting that day and the first practice taking place on July 29.

As always, hope surrounds the team heading into a new season, though familiar doubts linger, making the Independence Day post a natural place for fans to share their excitement and expectations for the new season.
