The Dallas Cowboys have entered the conversation as a leading destination for the San Francisco 49ers' wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, much to the disappointment of the Cowboys fans.
NFL insider Dov Kleiman revealed on his X post that Aiyuk has a 21% chance of being traded to the Cowboys, according to Polymarket, an NFL prediction market application.
"BREAKING: The Cowboys are now one of the FAVORITES to sign 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk," per X post of Dov Kleiman. "There is a 21% chance that Aiyuk gets traded or signs with Dallas, according to the Polymarket App. Imagine having CeeDee x Pickens x Aiyuk."

Doc Kleiman's X post sparked speculation about an impactful receiving corps alongside CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens in the Cowboys roster.
However, Sami Haider of Sporting News believes the Cowboys would not invest heavily in an injured WR, considering his average annual value to be $30M (under a three-year, $120M contract)
"The biggest problem is money," Sami Haider of Sporting News wrote. "Lamb already has a huge contract. Pickens wants a big raise soon. Aiyuk signed a four-year, $120 million contract in 2024. Fitting three highly expensive stars under the NFL salary cap is almost impossible for any team."
The Cowboys are investing heavily in the offense unit with quarterback Dak Prescott ($60M per year), WR CeeDee Lamb ($34M annually), and George Pickens ($27.3M franchise tag), paying above $120M annually for the 2026 season as per Spotrac.
Haider also believes that Aiyuk's off-field incidents on social media, by publicly calling out the Niners for not trading him, have raised concerns regarding his behavior.
The Niners voided Aiyuk's guarantees ($27M) after he missed out on attending team meetings and rehab sessions for his ACL and MCL tear suffered in 2024.
Haider believes the Cowboys are unlikely to pursue Aiyuk given his injury status, hefty contract, and recent off-field concerns. That sentiment was echoed by many Cowboys fans, who were quick to dismiss the speculation.
Cowboys fans aren't buying Brandon Aiyuk to Dallas
Despite the buzz surrounding the rumor, many Cowboys fans made it clear they don't want Aiyuk with the Cowboys.
One fan did not encourage the idea of the Cowboys offering a second chance for the Niners WR, just like they have provided for players like Pacman Jones and Greg Hardy.
"the boys got about 5 mill will he play on that bc we aint payin him. second chance valley ranch is not happening this time," one fan wrote.
Another fan shut down the idea of having another WR3 candidate when they have Ryan Flournoy.
"Lies, cowboys don't wan ot need that headache and already have a budding star #3 receiver," another fan commented.
One fan questioned if Aiyuk was worth the risk of investing, despite a crowded Cowboys WR room.
"Is Aiyuk worth the baggage? Let' wait to see how the young guys perform," one fan commented.
Another fan mocked the Cowboys for missing the playoffs despite having a top-2 offense unit and predicted losing in the future, too.
"Imagine all that and still miss the playoffs. Lmao," another fan wrote.
One fan called out the franchise for breaking the team's chemistry and brotherhood.
"This team will really do anything to ruin chemistry," one fan wrote.
For now, the Brandon Aiyuk-to-Dallas buzz remains just that. Between the contract math, injury concerns, and fan backlash, the Cowboys have plenty standing in the way of making this blockbuster a reality.
