Cowboys Leave Themselves in An Awkward Spot With Micah Parsons Diss

The Dallas Cowboys recently grabbed the fans’ attention with an eight-minute video revealing their NFL Schedule through a comedic skit.

The video featured Tyler Booker, Tyler Guyton, and Tyler Smith, forming the ‘Tyler Intelligence Agency’ where each opposing team had a secret agent named ‘Tyler’.

When the skit turned to the Green Bay Packers, the trio joked around about crashing the publicly owned team’s stock price, with the fictional stock chart image conveniently placed on a training table.

SleeperCowboys' X post read: “DallasCowboys social media team.“

The Cowboys took a sneaky jab at former Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, as the training table was the one he lay on during the 2025 preseason game before being traded to the Packers.

Owner Jerry Jones had previously mentioned this moment to be ‘one of the tipping points of the team’ in failing to have contract negotiations with Parsons and his agent, according to Mauricio Rodriguez of A to Z Sports

The front office had revealed multiple times that they were happy with the Parsons saga and had moved past it, but now, this had ignited some awkwardness from fans for not letting that go.

Parsons was heavily criticised, then, for being disrespectful to his teammates and the Cowboys franchise after he appeared to be sleeping on the sidelines during the game.

Now, after ending their 2025 game in a 40-40 tie, the Cowboys are set to play against the Packers in Week 6. And this marks their second face-off with Micah Parsons, as he returns post his torn ACL injury, according to Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site.

The subtle jab at Micah Parsons comes weeks after COO Stephen Jones expressed confidence in the Cowboys’ roster overhaul following the trade.

Cowboys Pleased With Returns From Parsons Trade

Stephen Jones recently expressed his content with the draft picks made and other player additions post-Parsons trade, confident with their final overhaul.

“Ultimately, the decision we made was that one player is not worth four or five good ones, and we feel like that’s where we’re going to end up here in a good spot”, Jones said during an interview with the Mad Dog Sports Radio show.

The Parsons trade had the Cowboys follow up with a series of trades, landing them the ‘right pieces in place’ to move ahead in the 2026 season.

The Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers in exchange for two first-round picks and DT Kenny Clark. And they traded DT Mazi Smith, along with a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick, to the New York Jets for DT Quinnen Williams.

The picks further led to drafting UCF Knights Edge rusher Malachi Lawrence (No. 23), after trading down from No. 20, which they initially received through the Parsons trade.

The Cowboys also secured CB Devin Moore (No. 114) and DT LT Overton (No. 137) as the fourth-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Though moving on from the 'cornerstone of defense' was a tough move, the Cowboys believe that securing five players rather than retaining one star player adds more depth and long-term flexibility to the team.
