A former Dallas Cowboys legend has sparked buzz after revealing an unexpected off-field story involving Rapper Offset, admitted to losing money to the rapper.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to social media after news broke that Offset was shot in Florida on April 6.

“I don’t ever talk about what I do or my relationships with anyone but I’m going to give yall a quick story between me and offset," Bryant wrote on social media, after angry messages between Offset and Lil Tjay were leaked. "I beat offset out of 8k he tried to take a nap on me and I go to tap on him to wake him up..telling him I need that 8k.. his [partners] saw me tapping on him.."

"I can tell his patnas wanted to jump on some b*******.. I chilled because I was by myself completely out numbered.. so I charged it to the game…I swear to god Offset reached out to me yesterday 3 hours before he got shot on a money play… I thought about it and said..I’m good.. then I saw the news later on and was like damn…some people don’t play about they money.”

Offset and Lil Tjay have been embroiled in this spat for some time now. The former was yet to return the $10,000 he loaned from the latter.

Things had seemingly quietened after March until this shooting occurred in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Investigation is still underway.

What Authorities Say About Offset Incident

The Migos rapper is currently in a stable condition at a hospital, a spokesperson said. At the time of the incident, Seminole police had not revealed Offset's identity.

Tjay, however, has been arrested for a seperate reason. He has been charged with disorderly conduct, which is a first-degree misdemeanor in Florida law. But he has not been charged with the shooting itself. The police have also not connected him to Offset.

His attorney, Dawn M. Florio, urged the public to do away with any such notions.

"Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting," a statement from Florio read. "Any reporting to the contrary is false."

The police are currently investigating the involvement of other people in this incident. Another person was also detained at the scene, but has not been charged.
