Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was away at training camp in California when burglars targeted his Texas home last month. Authorities are still investigating the incident, and no suspects have been identified.

The burglary took place at Lamb's Fairview residence while the Cowboys were in Oxnard for training camp. The details emerged through police records obtained by Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

More than $300,000 worth of property was reportedly taken from the home, including four luxury bags.

According to the police records, an individual working on renovations at the northeast side of the property noticed a broken window on July 31. The worker then called 9-1-1 after finding signs that the home had been tampered with.

Police were called to the residence at approximately 1:20 p.m. on July 31, as reported by The Spit Bucket Podcast on August 21. Representatives for Lamb reportedly showed responding officers the broken window, which authorities believe was the point of entry and exit.

The 27-year-old Lamb was not home when the burglary occurred. Fairview police said several high-end personal items were missing and confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.

Lamb is the second known Cowboys player to have his property burglarized in the past three years.

Former Dallas defensive tackle Linval Joseph was also the victim of a burglary at his Minnesota home in November 2024.

Burglars have increasingly targeted NFL stars' homes

Lamb's case adds to a troubling pattern. Burglars have targeted the homes of professional athletes while the players were away for games, training, or other team commitments.

That list includes Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has also been affected, as per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

In Barkley's case, the burglary reportedly occurred while members of his family were at the residence.

Federal authorities have also investigated organized groups connected to burglaries targeting professional athletes.

In February 2025, authorities charged seven Chilean nationals in connection with a series of burglaries. Investigators alleged that the group stole more than $2 million worth of valuables.

The Cowboys returned to the Dallas area early Sunday after spending 26 days in Southern California for training camp.

Lamb is a five-time Pro Bowler and one of the Cowboys' biggest stars. He now has an ongoing police investigation to deal with as Dallas prepares for the 2026 season.

Fairview police are still pursuing leads. They have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects in connection with the burglary.
