Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys, who are dubbed the dynamic duo, quickly emerged as one of the Cowboys' most potent offensive combinations last season.
Despite ongoing speculation about their future with the Cowboys, the terror twins appeared to maintain a strong relationship off the field, spending time together beyond the gridiron.
In an Instagram post by the NFL's official account, Pickens is seen posing for the camera as he attended the Elite Week 2026 with Lamb. It shows Pickens is locked in to lead the Cowboys' offense this season under his franchise tender.
Elite Week is an event where the best football players in the world train together to raise funds for charity, which happens once every year.
He also noted that the Mario Bros love to spend time with each other, as they lost track of time while hanging out before a Week 11 Las Vegas Raiders game in the 2025 season.
They missed the curfew and were benched together as they were reportedly having dinner and a few drinks at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa.
Pickens is set to play under the franchise tag ($27.3M) for the 2026 season, while Lamb is under a four-year, $136M deal, with an average annual value of $34M, keeping him through the 2028 season.
Pickens recorded all-career highs in touchdowns (nine), receptions (93), and receiving yards (1,429) in 2025, earning his first Pro Bowl nod.
While Lamb posted 75 receptions for 1,077 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 14 games played in 2025, he was sidelined for three games due to an ankle injury.
Together, along with quarterback Dak Prescott, they ranked No. 2 in overall offense (391.9 yards average) and in passing offense (266.3 passing yards average) in the league for the 2025 season.
As contract speculation continues to swirl, the wideout duo appears more focused on building chemistry both on and off the field ahead of the 2026 season.
CeeDee Lamb-George Pickens success could leave Cowboys facing difficult decision
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated wrote in his mailbag column that if the Cowboys extend Pickens, Lamb could also "push the envelope" for his contract extension.
“But will Lamb be O.K. if Pickens gets, say, $40 million per year, presuming he repeats what he did in 2025 both on and off the field?" Breer responded to a mailbag entry in his article. "If Lamb has a big year, will he push the envelope like other players have? I’d say, sure, there’s a chance of that, and maybe even a better chance of it if Pickens gets a massive new deal.”
Post the 2026 season, Lamb would have only $7M guaranteed in his contract. Breer believes most teams would renegotiate the contract around such a time, and Lamb may also push for a high-paying contract if Pickens lands one.
As the team heads into the 2026 season, if both receivers continue to increase their value, the Cowboys may eventually have to face a tough decision about keeping the elite duo together.
Can the Cowboys afford to keep both Lamb and Pickens long-term, or will they be forced to let one walk? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
