Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey celebrated the birth of his second son, as the team joined in congratulating the growing family.

"Congrats to the Aubreys on their new baby boy!" the Dallas Cowboys' X post read.

The couple, Aubrey and Jenn, welcomed their son Austin Lake on June 24, 2026. Their first son, Colton Scott, was born during the 2024 NFL preseason.

The couple had announced the news of their pregnancy during Christmas last year, according to Shounak Chakrabarti of Clutchpoints.

Aubrey met Jenn at a 2015 high school event, reunited at Notre Dame, and dated during college while he played football, and she starred in lacrosse.

Aubrey has often credited his wife, who is an aircraft dispatcher, for suggesting that he pivot from soccer to the NFL after they relocated to his hometown in Texas.

During a 2019 weekend slate of NFL games, Jenn suggested that Aubrey try his hand at becoming an NFL place kicker,

“Having been a professional athlete, I thought she was crazy,” Brandon said in a 2023 interview on The Dan Patrick Show. “At that time, I just kind of got a ball and went to the field and tried to see if I could do it.”

Aubrey made his debut with the Cowboys in 2023 and established himself as a highly reliable kicker. He made 36 of 38 field goals (94.7%)attempted as a rookie with the Cowboys in 2023. This is way above the average NFL kicker success rate of 84-85%.

He was placed on a second-round tender ($5.76M) by the Cowboys, but the team later signed him to a lucrative four-year, $28M deal, with $20M guaranteed and an average annual salary of $7M, which made him the highest-paid kicker in the NFL when signing the contract.

As Aubrey celebrates off-field, he enters 2026 focused on consistency in the regular season.

Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey ranked No. 1 fantasy kicker for 2026

Aubrey was listed in the top spot in the kicker ranking for the 2026 season, based on PPR (points per reception format) scoring by Michael Fabiano of Sports Illustrated.

"The kicker position doesn’t get a lot of attention in the fantasy football world, but that doesn’t mean it should be ignored," Fabiano of Sports Illustrated wrote in his article. "Two kickers in particular, Brandon Aubrey and Ka’imi Fairbairn, finished in the top 50 in fantasy points when compared to running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.

Aubrey's weekly reliability and consistency rank him higher than other kickers, but Fabiano suggests starting a replacement kicker during the Week 14 bye.

Entering his fourth season with the Cowboys, Aubrey is expected to build his consistency while helping the team win a Super Bowl win in the 2026 season.
