The Dallas Cowboys are feeling excited and re-energized for the 2026 NFL season. After a disappointing finish last year, the team is looking for a fresh start and a real chance to win a championship. To make that happen, they are putting all of their trust in quarterback Dak Prescott.

Even though some sports critics and fans doubt the Cowboys, Prescott's teammates have absolute faith in him. And star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has made it clear. During an episode of NFL on NBC on YouTube, Chris Simms quoted CeeDee Lamb,

"They're attacking and firing the ball down the field, and scary there, too. And so, yeah, uh, I got to give Dak Prescott his respect there. And last year was just phenomenal, and I have a hard time thinking it's not that again this year.” Chris Simms said, quoting Lamb.

Lamb loves how Prescott plays with an aggressive mindset. After Prescott’s amazing performance last year, he earned a spot in the Pro Bowl by completing 404 passes for 4,552 yards and 36 touchdowns.  Lamb fully expects him to be just as great this season. 

Because of these numbers, football experts Chris Simms and Connor Rogers officially ranked Prescott as one of the top 12 quarterbacks in the league. Simms specifically praised Prescott’s incredible ability to throw deep, accurate passes even when the pocket is collapsing, and defenders are rushing right at him. 

“He's a phenomenal deep ball thrower. He's a phenomenal thrower with people around him in the pocket. He's got great feel—as you hear me say sometimes, you got to have that sixth sense to go, " Chris Simms said.

This year, Dallas plans to run a fast, exciting offense that focuses on big, deep passing plays instead of safe, short throws. They know Prescott has the talent to make those tough plays, and they are putting the game completely in his hands.

The Dallas Cowboys are getting ready for the 2026 football season, and their offense is expected to be amazing. The team has a great group of star players helping quarterback Dak Prescott.

Sports expert Ralph Vacchiano from Fox Sports ranked the Cowboys as having the second-best group of offensive players in the whole NFL, right behind the Los Angeles Rams. 

"Wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have a chance to put up some scary numbers in this offense if they can both stay healthy," Vacchiano wrote. "Both are explosive enough to be considered top 10 in the league. And Dallas has other weapons, too, such as tight end Jake Ferguson and serious threat KaVontae Turpin.” 

Dak Prescott and the WRs have a lot of expectations tied to them for this season. It remains to be seen if they can deliver.
