After calling off the engagement, there's a new update on Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos' situation.

Prescott is heading to court over custody of his children following his split from ex-fiance Sarah Jane Ramos, a month after canceling their wedding.

And as per the details referenced in the court and obtained by the US Weekly, Dak Prescott specifically requested in his filing that he and Ramos be named as the joint managing conservators of their children. 

Per US Weekly, the papers filed by Dak reportedly state, "The parents of the children are separated. The appointment of the parents as joint managing conservators would be in the best interest of the children. It is in the best interest of the children that [Prescott and Ramos] be appointed joint managing conservators of the children."

This builds on what Prescott and Ramos had previously agreed, i.e., to co-parent their kids, MJ and Aurora together.

Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos were set to marry in Lake Como in April but announced their split publicly in March, just weeks before the wedding.

“It is with heavy hearts that we inform our attendees that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We welcome your prayers," Sarah Jane Ramos shared a message with their guests.

Reports suggest their relationship had been rocky for some time, with rumors of alleged infidelity on Prescott’s part contributing to the breakup.

Updates about Prescott and Ramos Post- Split

Brian Schottenheimer, the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys during the recent NFL Annual Meeting answered questions regarding Dak Prescott's condition post-breakup.

“He’s in a really good spot obviously, with what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough,” Schottenheimer said. “But if anyone can handle it, he can.”

Recently, Prescott was spotted training with fellow teammate Jake Ferguson for the offseason, highlighting his focus on football amid such personal circumstances.

And Sarah Jane Ramos has been updating fans through her Instagram handle by posting pictures of her kids and also spending valuable gym time, focusing on her well-being.

Despite a public split after years of being together, Prescott and Ramos are trying to handle things better in a private space, focusing on moving forward and prioritizing their kids' well-being.
