In a few weeks, Dak Prescott was supposed to be at his own wedding with Sarah Jane Ramos on April 10, 2026. But now, following an unexpected cancellation, his latest public appearance has come alongside his ex-Cowboys teammates at a former coach’s restaurant opening.
Prescott was seen at an event hosted by former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett in Caffe Lucca in Dallas. The gathering included several players and coaches of the Cowboys. Michael Irvin, Russell Maryland, Sean Lee, and Zack Martin were seen alongside Garrett and Prescott, as shared in an Instagram post by Garrett.
Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos went public with their relationship in 2023, with Prescott proposing a year later. But just weeks before their wedding, things unraveled, following events at their joint bachelor and bachelorette party.
The couple hosted the party in the Bahamas, where Prescott and Ramos got into a disagreement, as reported by TMZ. Soon after, Ramos and Prescott informed their invitees that the wedding was cancelled.
The couple shares two daughters and is expected to co-parent following the split. Meanwhile, Ramos has wiped most wedding-related posts from her Instagram, with only a bachelorette photo with friends among the few remaining traces.
While a lot has changed in the Dallas star quarterback's life in the last decade, it all started with a doubt that Prescott's former head coach had about his ability to transition in the NFL.
Jason Garrett admits he got things wrong about Dak Prescott
Dak Prescott has been integral to the Dallas Cowboys over the years, with his latest campaign equalling Tony Romo's record of four seasons with 30 or more passing touchdowns. Now, his former head coach, Jason Garrett, has admitted that he initially had doubts over the shot-caller.
"I've often said this that I felt like I got the evaluation on Dak Prescott wrong because I felt like he was a quarterback who could be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys for 15 years," Garrett admitted last month. "My biggest thing was I thought his transition was going to take longer because he was a gun quarterback in college.”
Jason Garrett was the head coach of the Cowboys when Prescott was first drafted in round 4 in 2016. He initially served as a backup for Tony Romo. When Romo was injured during pre-season, Prescott stepped up and led the Dallas offense to a 13-3 finish in his rookie campaign.
The young QB ended that season with 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns. Garrett further explained. Now, a decade later, it is safe to say that Dak Prescott has silenced anybody who questioned his abilities.
Coming back to this year, the attention on Prescott will soon shift back to on-field matters as team owner Jerry Jones looks to fix defensive problems in a roster that had a lopsided 2025 season, missing out on the playoffs yet again.
