Dak Prescott is putting his personal life aside. After a public breakup, the Cowboys quarterback was spotted back on the field, signaling a clear shift in focus ahead of the 2026 season.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was seen putting in extra work with teammate Jake Ferguson, aiming to refocus after a tumultuous few days in his personal life.
Their chemistry during the 2025 season was clear. Ferguson remained his third favorite passing target in an offense that included the likes of George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. The tight end managed to rack up 600 yards and 8 touchdowns in the season. In fact, he was one of the biggest factors in turning the Cowboys' offense into the seventh-best in the league, with 27.7 points per game.
Now, their focus is on getting the passing attack churning for another season. As they've done before, Ferguson and Prescott are training with each other in the off-season. Fans may remember the duo coming together in 2024 and 2025.
More importantly, it will be crucial for Prescott to get himself back into a competitive mode. Even coach Brian Schottenheimer acknowledged it when he said:
“Dak and I have had a ton of conversations.” He added, “He's in a really good spot, obviously with what he's dealing with is incredibly tough. But if anyone can handle it, he can.”
This Update Comes in Light of Prescott's Moment With Other Cowboys Players
Just a little over a week ago, Prescott was seen spending time with former Cowboys stars Michael Irvin and Russell Maryland. More importantly, he spent time with his former coach, Jason Garrett.
As Garrett shared on Instagram, "Loved hanging with Sean Lee, Zack Martin and Dak Prescott too! Amazing Cowboys who I had the privilege of coaching for a number of years! Again, great players and rare guys! Their friendships mean the world to me!"
This period in the off-season will be crucial for Prescott. With some analysts writing him off after a 7-9-1 season and troubles in his personal life, this could be a turning point for the Cowboys QB.
We've seen him come back from injury in the 2025 season with over 4000 yards and 30 touchdowns. Do you think he'll be able to replicate the same form in 2026?
