Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium Undergoes Major Renovations Before Football Event

The Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium will host a different sport this summer and will operate under a different name.

The FIFA World Cup comes to North America this year, and the tournament is set to be held across the continent in the United States of America, Mexico, and Canada. Due to FIFA’s strict naming rights, they will rename the home of the Cowboys to “Dallas Stadium.”

Renovations are well underway to accommodate the tournament. As per Nick Harris of the Star-Telegram, the field level is being raised over the floor suited to accommodate FIFA regulations. The renovations in their entirety will ensure that the stadium will be in line with regulations.

The Dallas Stadium is set to host a tournament-high nine matches, which include five group stage matches, two Round of 32 matches, one Round of 16 match, and finally a semi-final, which will take place on July 14, 2026.

Some of the international teams that will play their soccer at the Dallas Stadium are the Netherlands, Japan, England, Croatia, Argentina, Austria, Ukraine, and Jordan.

However, the Dallas Stadium will not host any USA men’s national team matches. It promises to be a busy summer in Arlington, Texas.

Where can you catch the USA men’s national team?

Mauricio Pochettino and his squad are set to feature in a home World Cup, which by itself is a very special feat.

The men’s national team is set to play its group stage matches split between SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.

There is a possibility that the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) will play in the Dallas Stadium.

If the USMNT gets past the group stages and makes it into the Round of 32, the Dallas Stadium hosts two matches in that round.
