The Cowboys are starting to see some important storylines take shape as the training camp continues. The offense answered back after a rough opening day in pads. Analyst Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com noted that the unit looked much more shaped the second time around.
"Although Prescott and the offense didn't win in lopsided fashion, they looked sharp in their adaptation of what happened 24 hours prior — a definite bounceback day for Prescott, Lamb, Ferguson, Pickens and the RB corps."
Secondly, defensive tackle Otito Ogbonnia continued turning heads. Analyst Nick Eatman pointed out the 355-pound lineman showed surprising speed while making plays against screen and outside runs.

Thirdly, tight end Jake Ferguson looked fully back after returning from personal leave. Analyst Tommy Yarrish reported on the Dallas Cowboys official website that Prescott and Ferguson reconnected, with the veteran making several highlight catches, including one up the seam and another one-handed grab.
Rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham earned extended work in the middle of the defense.
"On the second day of padded practice, having also been disruptive the day prior, Barham was awarded most (if not all) of the reps at MIKE LB, partly due to Parker wanting to truly test the former Wolverine at the position," analyst Patrik Walker wrote on the Dallas Cowboys' website.
Finally, rookie running back Jayden Blue kept building momentum.
"Blue continues to make plays, especially in the passing game. He provides an element to the position that even starter Javonte Williams doesn't have," Nick Eatman added.
Dallas also welcomes back safety P.J. Locke, while Alijah Clark exited practice with an ankle injury. Tyler Guyton and DeMarvion Overshown were limited, but neither injury is expected to be serious.
While several players stood out during Tuesday's practice, Ryan Flournoy's confidence and growing role may have been one of the biggest developments.
What has changed for Cowboys WR in year 3?
After finishing last season with 40 catches for 475 yards and four touchdowns, the Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Flournoy enters Year 3 in a much different position.
"Super different, I'm in a different spot… My confidence is up. I know what to expect, I know what to do. Definitely just having fun, just going out there and playing comfortable," Ryan Flournoy said, according to Tommy Yarrish of the Dallas Cowboys.
Flournoy added that Dallas is focused on finishing more drives in the red zone after falling short there last season.
"I can't give him enough credit, man. Just learning from him," Flournoy added. "A lot of stuff y'all see comes from him and George Pickens, and obviously my talent, but I learned a lot from him."
As training camp continues, Flournoy believes his consistency, growing chemistry with Dak Prescott, and lessons from veteran teammates have him ready for a bigger opportunity in 2026.
