The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to have a game this season in Brazil, with early reports suggesting they’ll serve as the home team in an international opener that’s all but confirmed.

NFL insider Ari Meirov revealed in a recent X update that the Dallas Cowboys are set to open their season against the Baltimore Ravens.

“The NFL is expected to select the #Ravens as the opponent to face the #Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with Week 3 as the likely spot, per Giana Jade," Meirov revealed.

Although the matchup is set to take place in Week 3, the Cowboys have requested anonymity. This will be the third NFL game in Brazil, and the very first for the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

“We are proud to welcome the Dallas Cowboys to Brazil for the first‑ever NFL game in Rio de Janeiro,” said NFL Brazil General Manager Luis Martinez.

He further added, “Introducing one of the league’s most iconic teams to the Maracanã Stadium marks a powerful milestone in the continued growth of the sport worldwide. Bringing a regular-season game to Rio strengthens our connection to a vibrant and passionate football community.”

The Ravens have played one international game so far in the iconic Wembley Stadium in London. Their first international endeavour was back in 2014 when they took on the Jacksonville Jaguars, winning the match 31-17.

The Ravens were unlikely to host this year’s international games because the team’s home venue, M&T Bank Stadium, is currently undergoing a $500 million renovation project. The 2026 schedule will be released in May.

With that said, the Dallas Cowboys are rolling as well.
