Dallas Cowboys yet again linked with Maxx Crosby rumors after minicamp

The Dallas Cowboys have once again found themselves linked with the Las Vegas Raiders' pass rusher Maxx Crosby following mandatory minicamp, but landing the star pass rusher would come at a heavy price.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report projected a potential trade scenario that links Crosby to the Cowboys, with a premium price of exchanging a  2027 1st-Round Pick and a 2028 1st-Round Pick.

“Keeping Crosby and allowing him to help jump-start the latest rebuild alongside No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza would make plenty of sense for Las Vegas,” Knox wrote.

“However, this doesn't mean that the Raiders won't again consider dealing the 28-year-old or that other teams shouldn't come calling,” Knox added.

The Raiders are content with retaining Crosby, after the Baltimore Ravens voided the trade due to Crosby's failed physical.

But he believes any team willing to offer a trade should consider Crosby's medical situation and also meet the price set by the Ravens previously(two first-round picks).

The Cowboys previously made three distinct offers, where each offer included a 2026 first-round pick (No. 12 or No. 20) plus a future selection, to acquire Crosby before losing to the Ravens.

"Would the Dallas Cowboys Ante Up For Maxx Crosby?" per Josh Sanchez of Sports Illustrated. "If the team was unwilling to trade two first-rounders ahead of the 2026 draft, it seems unlikely they would do so moving forward...."

Sanchez believes that if the Cowboys traded their future assets to land the five-time Pro Bowler, they wouldn't have the 'luxury of two first-round picks'.

The Cowboys gave up better of the team's two 2027 first-round picks last year for trading Quinnen Williams.

Last season, Crosby recorded 73 tackles (45 solo), 10 sacks, six passes defended, and 20 QB hits.

The edge rusher has a total record of 439 tackles (278 solo), 164 QB hits, 29 passes defended, and 69.5 sacks across 110 games played in seven seasons with the Raiders.

While Crosby remains one of the NFL's elite pass rushers, Sanchez believes that any team would be skeptical about giving up their two first-round picks unless Crosby proves to be completely healthy.

Cowboys linked to wild 3-team trade scenario involving Maxx Crosby

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, in another article, projected a 3-team trade similar to the NBA trades but in an NFL scenario involving the Cowboys, the Tennessee Titans, and the Raiders, where Crosby ends up with the Cowboys.

"In this deal, the Cowboys would cough up first- and fifth-round picks, along with wide receiver George Pickens," Knox wrote in the Bleacher Report article. "The Cowboys, of course, would finally get Crosby."

In this hypothetical trade, the Cowboys would give up their 2027 first-round pick and fifth-round pick, and WR Pickens, and receive Crosby and WR Calvin Ridley (from the Titans).

The Titans would receive Pickens, while they give up their 2027 second-round pick and WR Elic Ayomanor to the Raiders.

Knox believes the three-team trade would provide the Raiders with financial flexibility, allowing them to invest in key veteran additions.

While both scenarios remain hypothetical, they reflect that the Cowboys continue to surface in trade speculation involving Crosby following minicamp.
