With the Cowboys gearing up for their minicamp in June, they should now look to bring in four players who will add that much-needed depth to their roster.
Although the Cowboys look ready after the draft, some added cushioning goes a long way. So far, they have made accommodations for safety, offensive tackle, EDGE, and linebacker. Still, adding some more quality personnel doesn't hurt.
So here's a look at four veterans who might just do the trick if the Cowboys are looking for some extra support.
1) Bobby Wagner, LB
With LB DeMarvion Overshown looking less dependable and appearing in a limited number of games (19) since 2023, having a contingency plan is the need of the hour. In that regard, Bobby Wagner would be the perfect fit for the role.

The former Washington Commanders player recorded 162 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Wagner's experience could come in handy in guiding younglings like Jaishawn Barham, which will in turn help to use players like Overshown around different position roles.
2) Nick Chubb, RB
Although Nick Chubb had quite an injury-prone season back in 2025 with the Houston Texans, it didn't undermine his effectiveness. Chubb still ran for 506 yards and had three touchdowns while averaging 4.1 yards per attempt.
He could be the perfect complement for Javonte Williams, while giving players such as Jaydon Blue the impetus to improve. If Williams carries forward his momentum from last season (rushing 1201 yards and 11 touchdowns), the duo can prove to be a real menace for their rivals.
3) Joey Bosa, EDGE
Buffalo Bills' Joey Bosa can be that spark that the Dallas Cowboys benefit from greatly. This former Ohio State player was among the best pass rushers in the NFL.
In fact, he had 29 tackles and five sacks to his name in the previous season alone. He also holds the distinction of securing five forced fumbles.
Bosa is a veteran who has played 122 games, and though he lacks the killer edge that he did back in 2019-2022, when he had a total of over 100 tackles, he still packs a punch like no other.
4) Zach Ertz, TE
Last but not least is Zach Ertz. The 36-year-old veteran is looking to come back from a torn ACL injury. Before his injury, however, he made quite an impression, notching 50 receptions for 504 yards and 4 touchdowns in 13 games.
The consensus is that he would be a great candidate to add support for Jake Ferguson. Moreover, a team like Dallas that plays at a crazy pace could really use him effectively.
