While Dak Prescott has one of the best seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys, they could not reach the playoffs last season.

With the elite trio of George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, and Prescott, they racked up the second-most total yards per game (391.9). Prescott delivered a standout performance with 4,552 yards and 30 touchdown passes.

If the Cowboys had progressed to the playoffs, Prescott could have been a serious contender for the MVP award. So, it is no surprise that experts have earmarked Prescott to snag the MVP title next year.

The Worldwide Leader got 11 experts to predict the contenders for next year’s Super Bowl, where Prescott was a subject of discussion.

According to ESPN’s NFL expert Matt Bowen, Prescott should win the MVP title next season if he can continue producing such stellar numbers in the next season.

"Prescott had more than 4,500 passing yards and threw 30 touchdowns this past season. With the Cowboys expected to retain wide receiver George Pickens, whom they will likely give the franchise tag, look for Prescott to produce high-level numbers again for a team that could challenge for the NFC East title in 2026 with an improved defense,” Bowen said.

If Dak Prescott should remain in contention for the MVP title, then there should be improvements in the Cowboys’ defense. Last season, the Cowboys ranked 30th in total defense and last in passing defense.

Retaining George Pickens is the Cowboys' top Priority

Given that their offense was a major threat to opposing teams last season, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys must look to retain their wide receiver, George Pickens.

In his first season with the Cowboys, Pickens managed to play all 17 games, recording 1,429 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns – the best performance of his career so far.

If the Cowboys were to slap the franchise tag on him, his contract would extend by one year, with the deal estimated to be around $28 million.

Pickens has a particularly fruitful partnership with CeeDee Lamb, and the Cowboys will be hoping to keep this offensive powerhouse together to complement Prescott.

With Prescott now 32, time is of the essence, and the Cowboys need to act fast if they need to have a shot at winning the Super Bowl next season.
