Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver George Pickens has fans talking after a strange post on social media. On Monday, Pickens shared a short video on his Instagram story. The video showed him warming up before an old game when he still played for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Interestingly, the clip was filmed at M&T Bank Stadium, which is the home of the Baltimore Ravens, the Steelers' biggest rivals. What makes it weird? He is wearing his old Pittsburgh Steelers uniform. Reports of Noah Strackbein highlight what will happen if Pickens decides to join the Ravens.

“This would be the worst-case scenario for the Steelers,” Noah wrote. “Not only would their challenge in the AFC North get harder, but their biggest enemy in Lamar Jackson may improve as well.”

Noah of the Pittsburgh Steelers on SI points out that Pickens is currently playing for Dallas under the franchise tag. Because the Cowboys already have to pay several top players huge salaries, many people are wondering if Pickens will be traded soon.

This random video has fans wondering if Pickens is secretly hinting at a move to the Ravens.

If Pickens actually goes to Baltimore, it would be a massive change for the NFL. He would join forces with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson and star running back Derrick Henry.

Together with wideouts Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, they would form one of the scariest offenses in the entire league. It would also be a nightmare scenario for the Steelers, who would have to face their former star twice a year.

However, for this to happen, we need to wait to see if the Cowboys are ready to trade him

Are the Cowboys willing to sign George Pickens long-term?

George Pickens had an amazing first year with the Dallas Cowboys, setting career highs with 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns. But there were off-field mistakes, like missing the team’s 10 p.m. curfew after dinner and drinks at the Red Rock Casino.

This got Pickens and CeeDee Lamb benched for the opening offensive series against the Las Vegas Raiders. He also missed a team bus that raised questions about his maturity. For this reason, the team decided to use a $27.3 million franchise tag on Pickens for the 2026 season.

On the Fully Loaded Podcast, Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter explained that team owner Jerry Jones has no plans to give Pickens a massive payday.

“And if you give him another, he’s going to want more than CeeDee, so, he’s gonna want $35 million to $40 million,” Carter noted. “So, how are you doing that? $130 – $135 million at those three guys? No. Jerry’s into making money. He’s not going to do it.”

Pickens is locked into a one-year contract for this season. The Cowboys cannot offer him a multi-year deal until the season ends, and they have made it clear they will not trade him.

If Pickens plays as well as he did last year, he will be in line for a massive, record-breaking contract in 2027. For now, the drama is on hold, and he is ready to play.
