Although the Dallas Cowboys have dismissed trade speculation, wide receiver George Pickens continues to be linked with potential landing spots across the league. One NFL analyst believes Pickens could end up playing with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Jon Conahan of Sporting News believes that Pickens could be traded to the Ravens' offensive unit, which places more emphasis on explosive plays.
"The Ravens, who have an elite roster, a top-end quarterback, and much more, could use a WR1," Jon Conahan of Sporting News wrote on July 16. "That's why Bleacher Report's prediction that Pickens will be traded is perfect for a squad like the Ravens...The Ravens are one of those teams that need to be willing to empty the asset barrel if needed."

According to Conahan, if the Cowboys are open to trading the wideout, the Ravens shouldn't miss the opportunity to acquire him now with the intent to sign him to a lucrative long-term deal later.
Pickens enters the 2026 season after his breakout campaign, where he posted 93 receptions for 1,429 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
"Not to say that they [Ravens] should send a ridiculous amount to the Cowboys unless they know that Pickens is willing to sign an extension in Baltimore, but this would be an all-in move that would give the Ravens an even better chance to win the Super Bowl, something that's clearly a priority at the moment," Jon Conahan of Sporting News wrote on July 16.
If Pickens is signed with the Ravens, he would join the receiving tandem with WR1 Zay Flowers, who posted 86 receptions for 1,211 receiving yards last year.
Conahan believes Pickens' big-play ability would make an ideal fit alongside Jackson, giving the Ravens another dynamic weapon in the offense, strengthening their Super Bowl push.
Analyst sees George Pickens' contract situation escalating in Dallas
Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport reported that George Pickens' quiet contract situation could eventually escalate if the Cowboys franchise-tag him again.
“This is a situation that could deteriorate quickly, given how volatile Pickens’ previous team relationships have been,” Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report wrote. “If Dallas elects to tag him again next year, that would mean another season in which his compensation lags behind other top wideouts."
Such a situation could push Pickens to reconsider his "stay in Dallas", considering his previous stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers that ended "unhappily."
The analyst further wrote that Pickens’ long-term future with the team may eventually depend upon his production and the team’s willingness to retain him after his “prove it again" campaign in 2026.
