The Dallas Cowboys veteran cornerback DaRon Bland might finally be finding his feet after going through a physical setback. As Bland says that he doesn't "feel any aches," his recent performances have also shown a potential return of the once "Pick-Six King."

Bland has been with the Cowboys since being picked in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. But since his breakout season in 2023, he has been facing recurring foot injuries. But Bland is feeling great now.

"I mean, [my foot is] a lot better now," Bland said on August 10. "I don't really feel like any aches or pains, just a little soreness here and there, but nothing major," Bland told the media, according to dallascowboys.com

Bland missed 10 games in the 2024 season after he had surgery on his fifth metatarsal in August 2024.

Last season, after he missed two games due to a bruise in his right foot, he was ultimately placed on the injured reserve list following surgery on his left foot in January 2026.

"I'm definitely getting a lot more push now," Bland continued, as per dallascowboys.com. "Getting on my break, so not worried about it."

Bland has been performing well in training, making plays consistently and showing explosive breaks off routes. In drills against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, Bland has shown tight coverage and quick breaks—the hallmarks of his 2023 form.

While Bland is improving, he looks to relive the best season of his career this year.

Could DaRon Bland come back to being a Pick-Six King like in the 2023 season

While Bland has shown signs of improvement and wants to get even better, the reminiscence of the 2023 season still flits through his mind at times.

"I mean, I think about it always, you know?" Bland said. "That's probably one of my best years, so I'm really trying to just hone in on being back to myself and knowing what I could take the good and the bad from it."

Bland led the league with nine interceptions and set a record for the most pick-sixes in a season, at five in 2023. He also defended 15 passes, had a quarterback hit, and recorded 69 combined solo and assisted tackles, according to Pro-Football-Reference.

The cornerback position is looking stacked, with youngster Shavon Revel and young veteran Cobie Durant fighting for the cornerback position opposite Bland.

As the Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro tries to find his rhythm again, it will be interesting to see how he performs in the first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on August 15.
