Quarterback Dak Prescott likes the way the Dallas Cowboys have looked through the first week of training camp. Dallas has been working on adding to its offense without moving too far away from what already works.
Now, with the Cowboys set to hold a joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams in Woodland Hills, Prescott is ready to see how the offense handles a different defense.
"So call this probably the first of three meetings, I'd assume if everybody takes care of business. It's definitely going to be a test, it's going to be fun," Prescott said about the joint practice with the Rams. "Looking forward to just us getting better, understanding this is a team that we're going to play in the season."

CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, and KaVontae Turpin have all been involved in the passing game. Prescott has also enjoyed the energy from Dallas' defense, especially the communication and celebration after big plays.
"Most of them are complimentary of something else, so it's easy to teach them because we're doing it because of A worked this way, so this is the adjustment to get to B," Prescott said, according to the Dallas Cowboys' official website.
This intensity should carry over into the Rams' practice, where Dallas will face a defense featuring Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie.
"A full week in or so now, I feel good about where we're going and the direction. Run game has looked good, it's about just building, continue to build on that, and then just get sharper in the pass game," Prescott added.
The Cowboys will meet Los Angeles again in Week 5, making Tuesday's practice an early look at a future regular-season opponent.
The confidence will now get its first real test against a different defense, as the Cowboys prepare to face the Rams in a joint practice.
What is Dak Prescott's message to the Cowboys offense?
The Dallas Cowboys are in a new phase with their offense this training camp, and it started with QB Dak Prescott.
Prescott came up with the 'GOTI' mantra, which stands for “Greatest Offense There Is.” It reflects the confidence Dallas has in a group that kept much of its core together while adding a few new pieces.
“Why can't we be? Let's be the greatest offense there is. You've heard the greatest show on turf and all the other different nicknames,” Prescott said on July 31, according to El Paso Times.
The phrase has since caught on with the rest of the offense. Offensive coordinator Klayton Adams sees it less as a prediction and more as something the players can hold themselves to every day.
“I think it's amazing, because, to me, it's just a standard that they set for themselves,” Klayton Adams, per DallasCowboys.com.
With Dallas trying to take another step this season, the phrase gives the offense something simple to keep in mind every time it steps onto the practice field.
