Jerry Jones Faces Contract Hurdle as Cowboys Continue Brandon Aubrey Negotiations

Following Javonte Williams' renewal, securing the services of All-Pro K Brandon Aubrey will be a priority.

For Dallas Cowboys fans, there is some positive news out of this situation. There is an agreement between the Cowboys and the agent of Brandon Aubrey that he should be the highest-paid player for his position in the National Football League, as per Adam Schefter.

The current number ‌being offered to Brandon Aubrey is around $6.4 million average per season, which is the league high for this position. However, Aubrey’s agent is seeking a number close to $10 million.

Cowboys' vice president Stephen Jones said on Monday, “We hadn’t been able to get to a point where we can all agree, so it hadn’t got done. But we’d love to get him done.” There is optimism from all parties to see this deal through.

As things heat up, Aubrey is set to become a restricted free agent, and Dallas will most likely place a second-round tender close to $6 million.

The kicker had a very good 2025 NFL season. He had a field goal percentage close to 95, attempting 38 field goals and putting 36 of them within the posts. He also attempted 52 extra points and made 49 of them.

The Kicker Apparently Responded to the Offer

When reports of the offer came up, Brandon Aubrey responded to it, and it came together on the 105.3 The Fan podcast.

The post was captioned, "Brandon Aubrey says the Dallas Morning News report regarding his contract negotiations is "fake."

The host went on to reveal that Aubrey responded on a fan clip, where he commented the word fake to the post discussing the proposed offer and his agent's apparent reply.

One thing's for certain. Aubrey won't be cheap to retain, especially with his stats.
