Jerry Jones Predicted To Unite George Pickens and Shedeur Sanders In Wild Trade Move

The Dallas Cowboys face another challenge beyond their weak defense, as George Pickens could push for a bigger deal after his franchise tag.

This has led to speculation that Jerry Jones might take a risk and trade him to the Cleveland Browns, where he could strengthen an offense led by Shedeur Sanders.

“The Cowboys have shown a willingness to trade their star players for significant draft picks compensation. Maybe those players have the same agent in David Mulugheta. I’m just saying, it's an interesting situation to consider”, said reporter Ian Rapoport.

Pickens’ contract evaluation is projected to be more than $30 million per year and valued at $122.4 million for four years. That's a lot of money to be considered by the Dallas Cowboys for the long run.

The Cleveland Browns could move Shedeur Sanders as their crowded QB room remains unsettled, with head coach Todd Monken leaving his role dependent on performance and future roster plans.

This uncertainty could align with a potential move for George Pickens, who joined the Dallas Cowboys from the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 and delivered a breakout Pro Bowl season (93 receptions, 1,429 yards, nine TDs).

While Jerry Jones has shown interest in keeping him long-term, he could consider trading Pickens to ease a potential cap hit.

Bold Trade Plans of the Cleveland Browns

According to SB Nation’s Brian Martin, a potential landing spot for George Pickens is the Cleveland Browns if the Dallas Cowboys decide to trade him, with a proposed return of the 24th and 107th overall picks in the 2026 draft.

He further emphasized the Browns’ need for offensive help, suggesting Pickens could be a strong long-term solution.

This potential move also ties into the development of Shedeur Sanders, who made history by becoming the first rookie since 1995 to win his debut game.

He completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His win against the Las Vegas Raiders also snapped a 30-year streak of Browns quarterbacks losing their first starts.

For Dallas, trading Pickens could free up a valuable cap space to add another receiver and a key defender, though it remains doubtful whether such a deal would truly be worth parting with a player of his impact.
