GM Brandon Beane might have a solution for the Bills' wide receiver problem, and it's Dallas WR George Pickens.

According to Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox, the Buffalo Bills are among the frontrunners to sign the 24-year-old.

"With a nearly ideal blend of size (6'3", 200 lbs), speed, and physicality, he can stretch the field, turn short passes into big gains, and come down with contested catches,” Knox explained.

After a 1,429-yard, 9-touchdown campaign, Pickens has clearly established himself as Dak Prescott's favorite target. He even outperformed CeeDee Lamb, who had 1,077 yards. If the Bills manage to get him on board, it could be a massive improvement.

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir only managed 719 yards, and he had the most receiving yards out of the Buffalo Bills' stars. No other player even got close to crossing the 1000-yard mark. The last player to do so was Stefon Diggs in 2023.

However, there's one thing to consider. There's a good chance that the Dallas Cowboys will tag him. Even if the Cowboys decide to let him go for draft picks, it will not be easy for the Bills.

“If Pickens does reach the open market, though, he should be coveted by virtually every team with the financial means to sign him. During his breakout 2025 campaign, he regularly showcased his playmaking ability both before and after the catch.”

So will the Cowboys keep him?

It Might Be a Win-Win For the Dallas Cowboys

Well, if the Cowboys use the franchise tag on George Pickens, they have two options for the wide receiver. Pickens is completing the final year of his contract.

If they choose to renew his contract, it could come at a massive cap hit. As the leading wide receiver on the team, Pickens and his agent have negotiating power. They could look at a salary on level terms with CeeDee Lamb, who has a cap hit of roughly $37 million. That could involve restructuring Lamb and Dak Prescott's contract. But it also means they retain a passing attack that was among the best in the league.

On the other hand, if they decide to trade him, they get potential first-round draft picks or funds to bolster their defense.

In either case, there should be a positive for the team out of the move. What do you think?
