Micah Parsons Claps Back At Former Steelers Star Over Eagles Debate

Former Dallas Cowboys' linebacker, Micah Parsons, wasn't particularly delighted about the Philadelphia Eagles selecting USC Trojans Makai Lemon in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

However, his reactions and statement did not sit well with the former Steelers' running back, Le'Veon Bell, who called him out for being ‘lame’ on April 25.

In response to Le'Veon Bell, Parsons posted on his X account clarifying he was speaking to the host of the Bleacher Report's draft show, Adam Lefkoe.

"I was speaking with Lefkoe! Lefkoe introduced the Eagles as the greatest organization in football! I’ve never handled any interview in that manner,” Parsons responded.

Micah Parsons attended the Day 1 live draft show on The Bleacher Report on YouTube, hosted by Adam Lefkoe on April 23.

During his post-draft interview with the Bleacher Report, Lemon mentioned how the pick from the Eagles was unexpected. He also mentioned he couldn't be happier to get a call from ‘a great organization.’

However, Parsons responded by saying, “Hey, you had me with everything but the ‘greatest organization,’ bro. I was trying to hold it, bro. I was really trying to hold it.”

Former Steelers' RB Le'Veon Bell took to X to call him out for making the rookie player uncomfortable and held him accountable for his unprofessionalism.

“I love Micah Parsons as a football player, GREAT player .. but I hate the way he handled interviewing that young wide out drafted to the Eagles.. young man just happy to be drafted, that’s not the time to diss an organization .. bro not even a Cowboy anymore, it’s just lame”, Bell said.

The Cowboys and the Eagles are considered to be NFC East Division rivals, and Parsons' comments didn't make sense since he was a Cowboys player anymore.

Furthermore, Parsons wasn't quite delighted with the selection, primarily because Lemon is considered to be A.J.Brown's 'replacement' in the Eagles' organization.

Parsons Criticizes Eagles Over A.J. Brown Situation

The Eagles traded up to No. 20 with the Dallas Cowboys to select USC's Makai Lemon. However, not everyone was delighted with the trade-up, as Parsons makes his stance clear on the A.J. Brown situation.

The Green Bay Packers' linebacker, Parsons, took to X to post his disappointment with the trade.

“It’s amusing how many Eagles fans believe AJ Brown is the problem!” Parson wrote.

The former Cowboys linebacker did not hold back speaking about this during his appearance on the Bleacher Report draft show on YouTube.

“There’s no replacing A.J. Brown… It’s a demotion of A.J. Brown. This is one of those times you don’t let great players walk out of the building that easy and just say, ‘oh, this is the replacement.’… You don’t replace great players,” Parsons said.

He believes Lemon to be a 'supplement' for Brown and not a replacement.

According to ESPN analyst Mike Reiss, Lemon’s selection hints directly at trade speculation, including a scenario involving A.J. Brown being moved to the New England Patriots after June 1.

The Eagles' GM, Howie Roseman, has consistently refused to engage with the trade speculation publicly, being ambiguous about Brown's tenure with the Eagles.
