Micah Parsons’ contract talks in light of Rashan Gary's signing with the Cowboys continue to draw attention as debate around his value and role on defense picks up, with his brother also reacting on social media.

Terrence Parsons Jr. shared his views on X on 1 July 2026 after some Cowboys fans criticized Micah Parsons’ run defense and debated his potential $47 million deal.

“BTW you don't get 47 million for stopping the run goofy you getting by being an elite pass rusher on your way to a hof career,” Terrence Parsons Jr. wrote on X. “Cowboys fans be goofy as hell for this stopping run…that yall dont watch the games.”

Micah Parsons joined the Packers in August 2025 after Dallas traded him in exchange for Kenny Clark and two first-round picks.

He later signed a four-year, $188 million deal worth $47 million a season, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

At the same time, things took another turn in July 2026 when the Cowboys brought in Rashan Gary.

The move led to fresh comparisons between the two pass rushers, with some fans praising Gary's work against the run and questioning Parsons' salary. This was when Terrence Parsons Jr. came out in support of his brother.

Parsons' record in the NFL also matches the point Terrence was making.

The 26-year-old has 65 sacks in 77 games and has earned five straight Pro Bowl selections along with three First-Team All-Pro honors. He added 12.5 sacks in his first year with the Packers in 2025.

Terrence's comments show that the debate around Parsons goes beyond his contract. It remains to be seen if comparisons with Rashan Gary will continue among Cowboys fans.

Terrence Parsons Jr. later added more to his earlier comments on Micah Parsons and the Rashan Gary comparisons.

Terrence Parsons Jr. later expanded on his views in another post, in which he defended Micah Parsons' run defence and questioned some of the comparisons being made to Rashan Gary following his move to Dallas.

“Nahh I’m just talking facts bro we all knew Micah was outta position," Terrence Parsons Jr. posted on X. “But he put in the work every offseason to be better at where he was lacking lol while the team never wanted to address the real problems in the run defense…can do that in the NFC East with all mobile QBs.”

The comments added another layer to the discussion surrounding Parsons and the Cowboys' defensive changes.

For now, the comparisons between the two pass rushers continue to draw reactions from fans on both sides.
