Micah Parsons spent his rookie years with the Dallas Cowboys after getting drafted in 2021. Parsons was a first-round pick and 12th overall for Dallas. His defensive debut saw him have a very dominant season (13 sacks).
As one can imagine, that wasn't easy, as he was constantly going up against the most powerful offensive force in the training ground. Parsons spoke about his experience to Jay Mohr on his podcast.
"So you got to think my rookie year I came in, it was La'el Collins, Zack Martin, Tyler Biadasz was till there," said Parsons."Tyron Smith, Zeke was still Zeke. Mari Cooper, Cedric Wilson, CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott, Tony Pollard. I mean, you're talking about an all-time Cowboys offensive lineup that I'm going against in training camp every day."

Back in 2021, the Cowboys' offense was as elite as it gets. There was Dak Prescott, who is a franchise QB, still active today with the Cowboys.
Prescott has thrown for nearly 36,000 career yards and 243 touchdowns across 139 games. Back in 2021, too, he had the same level of flair to his game.
In Parsons rookie season, Prescott put up 4,449 yards to his name along with 37 TD's.
With him was Zack Martin (All-Pro guard, future Hall of Famer), Ezekiel "Zeke" Elliot still in his prime. Tony Pollard, too, was emerging into a change of pace back. Then there were Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, who were all explosive in their own unique ways.
Dak Prescott is now an even more mature player, having totalled Tony Romo's record of four 30 TD seasons. Despite the Cowboys' defense lacking that precision, his performance showed through. This is exactly why he finds himself in a special category ahead of the 2026 season.
Dak Prescott Finds Himself In The NFL Analyst's Top 10 MVP List
Even though it's still too early in the season, Dan Prescott's electric performance last year has caught attention. ESPN's Seth Walder has been following his every move. The longtime NFL quantitative analyst has him on his top 10 MVP list.
"Prescott's incredible 2025 campaign was overlooked due to his team's lackluster defense, but I felt he was actually the second-most valuable player in the league last season (and ahead of Matthew Stafford)," said Walder."If he plays the same way, and the Cowboys' defense can be even just mediocre, Prescott will be an MVP candidate,"
Prescott threw for 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns, and only 10 interceptions in 2025. This ranked him among the top QBs in efficiency and production. Dallas finished the season 2nd in total offense, but their defense let them down, conceding 30+ points per game.
Prescott has been busy with his squad training in the OTAs as the Cowboys finished their early-season workouts. Soon, they will then start their mandatory workouts on June 16-18, and Prescott will be a big part of that.
