Micah Parsons questions NBA stars with bold Steph Curry message

Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons seemed baffled that NBA stars continue to pass up the opportunity to play alongside legendary shooter Steph Curry. Parsons did not hold back as yet another NBA star in free agency chose not to pair up with Curry.

The five-time Pro Bowler took to X to express his frustration after LeBron signed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency. Parsons was unhappy that James passed on the Golden State Warriors, snubbing Curry in the process.

“Nobody wants to play with my man Curry, man I don’t get it!!” Micah Parsons’s X post read. “All he do is win!! What is going on in the bay!!???”

Parsons has long defended Curry, arguing that the four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP does not always receive the credit he deserves.

The Packers linebacker posted a comment back in May 2025, when former NFL player Emmanuel Acho ranked Curry at No. 5 and James at the top while ranking top-10 NBA players in their peak.

“I'm sorry not having Curry first is disrespectful! ,” Parsons' X post read on May 13, 2025.

The Warriors pursued the 22-time NBA All-Star at the February 2024 trade deadline and again during Summer 2025, with James declining both offers, according to Ali Thanawalla of NBC Bay Area.

Though the Warriors were part of the top-10 teams he considered for signing, James eventually signed with the 76ers for a two-year, $8M deal, much to Parsons' disappointment, who hoped to see the ultimate NBA rivals play together.

While the Warriors continue searching for another superstar to pair with Curry, Parsons is expected to make his return around Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season after recovering from an ACL injury.

Packers could get Micah Parsons back by Week 12, projection says

Freddie Boston of Lombardi Ave posted a potential return date for Parsons, based on some statistical projections. Boston estimated Parsons' return after full recovery to be around Weeks 8-12.

"Parsons said he won't be cleared to practice for at least nine months post-surgery," Freddie Boston of Lombardi Ave wrote in his article. "He reportedly had surgery on December 29, pushing the earliest possible return to late September. However, it could take several weeks after that before we see him in the regular season."

The editorial Confidence Meter of Lombardi Ave estimated his complete return after the Week 11 bye, suggesting a 95% likelihood of returning fully healthy in Week 12.

The Packers have a strict nine-month recovery rule for any players undergoing ACL recovery, especially when combined with secondary procedures like meniscus repairs.

With Parsons recovering from both ACL reconstruction and meniscus surgery, the projected return of Week 12 highlights the additional recovery and practice time required before he is cleared to play for the 2026 season.
