Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons hyped up the Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams by picking him as one of the league’s Top 100 players heading into 2026.
In a recent clip posted on X by the NFL, when asked which player should be No. 1 on this year's list, Parsons didn't hesitate to pick Caleb Williams and kept it short by saying just two words.
“Yeah, Iceman,” former Cowboy Parsons said.
The ‘Iceman’ nickname, derived from the phrase “ice in his veins,” was given to him by his teammates for his ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver in late-game situations.
Williams completed 330 of 568 pass attempts for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while posting a 90.1 passer rating across 17 games in 2025.
His 3,942 passing yards fell short of 58 yards, which would have set him as the first Bears QB to have thrown 4,000 yards in a single season.
He was best in clutch situations, leading an NFL-record seven fourth-quarter comebacks (including the playoffs) in 2025, according to Alyssa Barbier of BearsWire.
The Bears faced the Green Bay Packers twice in the 2025 season, where they won a game in the regular season and a wild-card game, securing the NFC North Division title and a No. 2 seed in the playoffs.
The Week 16 matchup at Soldier Field was a 22-16 overtime victory for the Bears, where Williams led the Bears back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Packers.
The Bears rallied from an 18-point deficit (trailing 21-3 at halftime) to defeat the Packers 31-27 in the Wild Card Round and advanced to the second round, according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
Whether Williams ultimately claims the top spot on the NFL’s Top 100 list remains to be seen, but Parsons two-word endorsement already highlights the growing respect this former first-round pick has across the league.
Analyst Ranks Caleb Williams Among NFL's Elite
NFL analyst Chris Simms ranked Caleb Williams at No. 6 in the top QBs of the league during the 882nd episode of the Chris Simms Unbuttoned show.
Simms placed him behind Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.
"if this was a different exercise and you told me I could draft one quarterback to start a franchise with right now, right, I would probably take Caleb Williams," Simms said," Simms said.
He also further pointed out that Williams can hold the football for too long, struggling with consistency as a passer.
But he believes his arm talent, physicality, and creativity outweigh such concerns.
Despite some lingering concerns, Williams' talent and production continue to earn him recognition as one of the NFL's premier young quarterbacks.
