The UFC recently hosted its first White House event.UFC Freedom 250 was a celebration of the USA's 250th year of independence. The headline of the event was a lightweight championship match between champion Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.

Michael Irvin, too, was invited as a guest at the event. The former Dallas Cowboys legend joined other sporting greats to be part of this spectacle. Irvin and other NFL stars, including Maxx Crosby, David Njoku, Will Compton, Taylor Lewan, and Breidan Fehoko, were all in attendance.

He also won three Super Bowls in the 90's. Irvin is known for being a huge MMA and UFC fan. He is known for doing fight breakdowns on his official YouTube channel.

Pro Football & Sports Network noted that Irvin was seen shaking hands with Lewan and Compton during the event.

The group was also seen enjoying the airshow featuring the Navy’s Blue Angels and the Air Force’s Thunderbirds performing a synchronized flyover above the South Lawn at the White House.

The card, too, had an action-packed lineup with some big names. Apart from Gaethje and Topuria, there were other heavy hitters like Derrick Lewis, Alex Pereira, and Josh Hokit.

Fighters like Sean O'Malley, Mauricio Ruffy, and Michael Chandler were also on the card.

Irvin and his NFL contingent were seen enjoying the action from the front row of the South Lawn. In addition to attending the UFC event, Irvin was also recently vocal about his former teammate, Troy Aikman.

Michael Irvin Gave His Honest Take On The Troy Aikman Situation

Michael Irvin recently joined the DLLS Dallas Cowboys Podcast to share his views on quarterback Troy Aikman not getting his desired role with Dallas

"It pains me to see that happening because I know Troy wanted to do that," said Irvin, "Troy wanted a John Elway situation here in Dallas, and I know he wanted it, and certainly he's earned it, but it's not going to happen."

Irvin glossed over how Aikman was keen on taking on a front-office role similar to John Elway’s in Denver.

"I rest my mind to that reality. I wish Jerry would at least have brought him in. You know he's not certainly not going to turn it over as they did in Denver,"

Aikman was more than interested in helping the Cowboys in an executive capacity. Unfortunately, Jerry Jones decided against it. Irvin feels that the call was not justified, knowing Aikman's history with the Cowboys.

Aikman now works with the Miami Dolphins as a consultant and helped them find head coach Jeff Hafley.

Irvin's question raises the important question of whether Dallas made a mistake by not getting Aikman on board.
