The Dallas Cowboys have failed to clinch the Super Bowl in 30 long years, despite being surrounded by a lot of hype. This year is no different. However, one NFL analyst believes that the roster tells a different story.
While Dallas has elite players like Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Caleb Downs, the Fan Stream Sports' IndyCar Tim argued that there are some gaps at key positions that make the Super Bowl conversation premature.
"We're talking championships already, but there is a massive difference between declaring a championship standard and constructing a roster that is capable of pulling it off," said IndyCar Tim on Fan Stream Sports. "And this is where the Cowboys' biggest lie begins. Dallas wants us to look at the top of the roster."

According to Tim, Dallas still has some unanswered questions that can become major issues over a period of time. The uncertainty at left tackle and cornerback, two major positions, is what determines success against the NFL's best teams.
IndyCar Tim's comment on Fan Stream Sports highlights the gap between elite player talent and overall roster balance. Injuries and inconsistent play at any of these spots can expose the Cowboys in the championship.
The Cowboys are built around quarterback Dak Prescott and high-profile playmakers, while expectations are high under HC Brian Schottenheimer.
The franchise is looking to end a Super Bowl drought since the 1995 season, which increases pressure to deliver immediate results. If the team develops and concerns are addressed, Dallas could justify the hype.
However, while addressing Dallas' biggest concerns, Tim also pointed to ways the Cowboys can overcome those weaknesses.
NFL analyst reveals two Dallas Cowboys positions that could crush Super Bowl dreams
The left tackle is the Cowboys' weakest position because it protects QB Dak Prescott's blindside.
If the offensive line fails to contain edge rushers, the entire offense suffers.
"All right, there blindside, my number one worry and the number I believe the number one position that could derail your Super Bowl hopes. Number two: cornerback," said IndyCar Tim on Fan Stream Sports.
Tyler Guyton (T) has to prove himself healthy and consistent. In the last season, he started 10 games, but Knee and ankle injuries caused him to miss time, continuing a trend that had already affected his development as a rookie.
Juanyeh Thomas (OT), who played seven games and started only 3 because of injuries, will also be competing for the spot.
As for the cornerback position, DaRon Bland had a season-ending foot injury. Shavon Revel is entering his second year after tearing his ACL in his rookie season. Meanwhile, Cobie Durant brings experience but will compete for the starting role as CB2.
Dallas will face the Seattle Seahawks in the first preseason game, a team that conceded only 17.2 points per game, the least in the league last season.
The Cowboys need to avoid the least-proven cornerbacks when opposing the offense, which will look to isolate and attack them.
