The Dallas Cowboys made major changes after a disappointing 2025 season. With a revamped roster and coaching staff, Dallas will try to end its 30-year wait for another Super Bowl appearance in 2026.

FS1 analyst Chris Broussard laid out his 2026 playoff predictions during Prediction Week on First Things First. His bracket gives Dallas a much better finish than last season, but not the championship.

“I got the Ravens finally getting it done against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys,” Broussard said. “Ravens over Cowboys for the Super Bowl.”

Broussard has the Cowboys beating the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game before facing the Baltimore Ravens for the title. He also picked Baltimore to beat the Houston Texans in the AFC Championship Game behind Lamar Jackson.

Broussard first picked the Cowboys to win the NFC and reach the Super Bowl.

“If the Cowboys get this far, that means they're cooking too,” Broussard said on First Things First on September 5. “I have Lamar exorcising his playoff demons.”

The prediction would give Dallas its best finish in years, but the Cowboys would still fall short of ending their championship drought.

Broussard's pick also puts the focus on whether Jackson can finally lead Baltimore through the playoffs and all the way to a Super Bowl victory.

Broussard's Super Bowl prediction was bold enough, but he went even further when naming the player he expects to lead Dallas there.

Chris Broussard picks Dak Prescott for MVP

Prescott put together one of the best seasons of his career in 2025, throwing for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns. Dallas, however, finished 7-9-1 and missed the playoffs.

Broussard expects a much different outcome in 2026. He believes Prescott can lead Dallas to the Super Bowl while also taking home the NFL MVP award.

“You see, my MVP is Dak,” Broussard said on the same show. “I woke up in the middle of the night, and I thought to myself, 'Am I really going to do this? Am I really picking this team to get to the Super Bowl?”

Broussard admitted he briefly considered changing his selection before sticking with Dallas.

“I actually was like, I'm changing that pick. And then I woke up, and I was sober-minded. I said, you know what? I'm not changing.”

For Dallas, the prediction would mark a dramatic turnaround from last season. The Cowboys have not reached the Super Bowl since winning the title following the 1995 season.

The Cowboys open the regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
