NFL Insider Reveals Surprising Cowboys Move Involving $106M Pass Rusher

As the Cowboys and their owner, Jerry Jones, are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the 2026 season, they could target a Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end.

Despite signing a three-year, $106.5 million contract in 2025 with the Raiders, Max Crosby continues to have off-field issues. That's led to potential trade rumours.

Since Micah Parsons’ trade to the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys have lacked a playmaker. Maxx Crosby could fill that void. Crosby has been at the top of his game, ranking in the top four edge rushes for three straight seasons from 2021 to 2023.

NFL Insider Jason Schultz said the move could be possible if the Cowboys are willing to offer a similar deal to what the Packers offered them for Micah Parsons.

“The only way the Raiders move Crosby is if they command somewhere along the lines of a Micah Parsons package. If you go back to that deal, that’s the type of haul that the Raiders would have to get to even consider moving Crosby. I don’t even know if they want to move him. I’m not convinced they do,” he said about the five-time Pro Bowler.

He further added, “If they start to consider moving him as you get past the Combine, that’s where a lot of this stuff starts to materialize."

Considering Maxx Crosby is one of the best rushers in the NFL, the Cowboys could look to capitalise on his strained relationship with the Raiders.

The Dallas Cowboys Should Be Wary of Maxx Crosby’s Injuries

Maxx Crosby might be an elite pass rusher, but he has been battling injuries of late. He suffered a knee injury in October and was sidelined by the Raiders before the final two games of the season.

"We have made the decision to place Maxx Crosby on the Reserve/Injured list for the remainder of the 2025 season," the Raiders announced in December 2025.

However, the franchise also seemed confident that they would retain Maxx Croby for the foreseeable future. "we look forward to his leadership and toughness into 2026 and beyond," they added.

However, this is not the first time he has dealt with injuries. His ankle flared up in 2024 as well, and he played only 12 games.

So tell us what you think? Should the Cowboys approach this decision with caution, given Crosby’s recent injury struggles? Let us know in the comments.
