As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the 2026 season, expectations are high for quarterback Dak Prescott's partnership with wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Now, one NFL insider has ranked the duo among the NFL's elite.

The staff writers of the Dallas Cowboys' official website ranked the "dynamic duo" among the top 5 WR duos in the NFL, stating that they both work as a powerful tandem together rather than as WR1 or WR2.

“Lamb and Pickens are not WR1 and WR2," Patrick Walker of DallasCowboys.com wrote. "They are two true WR1s that are also led by an All-Pro quarterback who, if not for a historically-bad defense in 2025, might've been in the MVP conversation (again). But I'd put them higher than Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, squeezing them right into the No. 2 spot."

Walker wrote in the same DallasCowboys.com article that both Pickens and Lamb have the potential to land No. 1, based on their 2025 production.

They are in tight competition with the Los Angeles Rams WRs Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, and the Cincinnati Bengals WRs Ja'Mar Chase and Tee Higgins for the top spot.

Pickens posted career highs in touchdowns (9), receptions (93), and receiving yards (1,429) in 2025.

Meanwhile, Lamb recorded 75 receptions for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns across 14 games despite suffering an ankle sprain and missing three games.

Cowboys insider Tommy Yarrish also placed the Cowboys' WR duo at the top three, while also acknowledging the Rams WR duo as tough contenders for the top spot.

"I'll say top three," Tommy Yarrish of DallasCowboys.com wrote. "Personally, I think the Rams' duo of Davante Adams and Puka Nacua is the best, followed by Lamb and Pickens, and then the Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is the order..."

Yarrish believes that Adams' elite red-zone threat and Nacua's tools and versatility to produce after the catch make them the most potent pass combination in the league.

Yarrish believes that both Lamb and Pickens could be a threat to the Nacua-Adams combo, if the "Mario bros" elevate their production in the 2025 season.

CBS Sports ranks the Lamb-Pickens duo No. 2 in the NFL

Jared Dubin of CBS Sports ranked the Pickens-Lamb combo at No. 2 among his 2026 NFL WR dynamic duo rankings.

"The two players complement each other extraordinarily well, with Lamb operating in the slot and as a movement Z receiver while Pickens is the natural X who wins on the outside and deep down the field," Jared Dubin of CBS Sports wrote in his article.

While Pickens serves as the X receiver on the line of scrimmage, serving as a primary deep threat, Lamb operates as a Z receiver, off the line of scrimmage on the opposite side of X, using pre-snap motion and operating in slots.

Dubin believes that this combo works as a great fit for Prescott, as they can catch difficult passes against defenders and also gain extra yards after catch.
