NFL Week 2 brought a different picture for several teams after an opening Sunday filled with big performances. Some teams backed up their starts, while others exposed problems that could become harder to ignore as the season moves forward.

Here are seven key takeaways and concerns from NFL Week 2 after Sunday Night Football.

1. Kansas City Chiefs keep finding ways to win close games

The Kansas City Chiefs found another way to win a tight game, beating the Indianapolis Colts 33-30 in overtime.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns without a turnover, while tight end Travis Kelce added 101 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Mahomes also recorded the 25th winning drive of his 10-year career, tying Kirk Cousins for the second-most in that span. According to ESPN, Tyquan Thornton added four catches for 86 yards, including a 45-yard reception.

2. Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears face quarterback injury concerns

The Washington Commanders lost quarterback Jayden Daniels to an elbow injury during their 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Earlier in the day, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams also suffered a right hamstring injury against the Minnesota Vikings.

The injuries add another layer to Week 2, especially with both teams facing important games ahead. Williams had already struggled against a Vikings defense that blitzed him on 77% of his dropbacks.

3. Dallas Cowboys still need Dak Prescott to carry the offense

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott delivered four touchdown passes against the Washington Commanders and broke the Cowboys' career record for touchdown passes, previously held by Tony Romo.

Prescott also completed more than 80% of his passes and added 26 rushing yards. However, Dallas managed only 66 rushing yards on 21 carries, with no Cowboys running back recording a run longer than nine yards.

4. San Francisco 49ers face growing concerns at wide receiver

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 35-13, but the win came with several concerns at wide receiver. Demarcus Robinson left with a high ankle sprain, while Ricky Pearsall, De'Zhaun Stribling and Christian Kirk also dealt with injuries.

San Francisco also continued to struggle against the run. Miami controlled the ball for much of the first half, while the Dolphins defense failed to pressure 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and allowed touchdowns on the 49ers' first five drives.

5. Philadelphia Eagles survive despite offensive and defensive issues

The Philadelphia Eagles escaped with a 24-20 win over the Tennessee Titans after trailing late. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions but delivered the game-winning touchdown pass to Darius Cooper with 14 seconds remaining.

The Eagles' offensive line remained leaky for the second straight week, while the defense had trouble against a Titans offense that ranked 31st in total yards in Week 1.

6. Baltimore Ravens again struggle to close out a game

The Baltimore Ravens held a 17-9 lead entering the fourth quarter but lost 24-17 to the New Orleans Saints. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's interception with 13 seconds remaining ended Baltimore's final opportunity.

The New Orleans Saints also continued their slow starts, failing to score in the first quarter for the fourth straight game. Baltimore's late-game problems remained a concern after another lead slipped away.

7. Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans show offensive concerns

Week 2 also produced difficult offensive performances from several teams. The Los Angeles Chargers scored only 14 points against the Las Vegas Raiders, while the Pittsburgh Steelers managed just three against the New England Patriots.

The Houston Texans scored six points against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Chicago Bears managed only three against the Minnesota Vikings. These performances give each offense clear issues to address before Week 3.

With injuries, defensive gaps and inconsistent offenses appearing across several teams, Week 3 could provide another important test.
