Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has built a long list of memorable games since entering the NFL in 2016. Some came during wins, while others showed what he could produce even when Dallas fell short.

Here are the top five moments from Prescott’s Cowboys career.

5. L.A. Debut (Aug. 13, 2016)

Prescott’s first preseason appearance for Dallas quickly gave the Cowboys something to notice. Facing the Los Angeles Rams, he completed 10 of 12 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

At the time, Prescott was beginning training camp as the team’s third-string quarterback. Injuries to Tony Romo and Kellen Moore a month later opened the door for him to become the starter, a role he has held ever since.

4. Outstanding in Defeat (Nov. 10, 2019)

The result went against Dallas, but Prescott’s numbers told a different story against the Minnesota Vikings.

According to Dallas Cowboys.com, he finished the 28-24 loss with 397 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception as Minnesota focused on containing Ezekiel Elliott.

Prescott also completed nine passes of at least 20 yards and gave Dallas a chance to take the game late. The comeback attempt, however, ended when the Cowboys turned the ball over on downs.

3. Giant Victory (Dec. 10, 2017)

After three lopsided losses during November, Dallas needed a win to keep its NFC playoff hopes alive. Prescott answered with a career-high 332 passing yards and three touchdowns against the New York Giants.

His connection with Dez Bryant produced a 50-yard touchdown before halftime, while Rod Smith later broke free for an 81-yard catch-and-run in the fourth quarter. The victory brought Dallas back to a .500 record for the first time in a month.

2. OT vs. Eagles, Part I (Oct. 30, 2016)

A fourth-quarter comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles gave Prescott his first overtime victory in the NFL. Dallas entered the final quarter trailing 23-16 before Prescott found Dez Bryant for a 22-yard touchdown that tied the game.

The decisive moment came in overtime, when Prescott connected with Jason Witten on a five-yard touchdown pass. The score completed the comeback and handed Dallas the win.

1. Different Story (Nov. 18, 2018)

The Cowboys’ return to Atlanta in 2018 offered Prescott a chance to change the ending from the previous season. A year earlier, he had been sacked eight times in a loss to the Falcons, which was followed by a three-game losing streak that ended Dallas’ playoff hopes.

This time, Prescott directed a 10-play, 52-yard possession in the closing moments. The drive set up Brett Maher for the winning field goal as time expired, moving Dallas back to .500 before the Cowboys clinched the NFC East a month later.

From an unexpected preseason breakthrough to a game-winning drive in Atlanta, Prescott’s Cowboys career has produced several defining moments. These five games capture different stages of his journey in Dallas.
