Shannon Sharpe is questioning the timing of new reports about George Pickens' conduct.
The NFL legend suspects recently surfaced claims of multiple fines are meant to lower the receiver's market value, adding a new layer of drama to his future.
"If he did that during the season, why we ain't find out about it during the season? Oh, you know why? I mean, we did find out one. Him and CeeDee was late when they was here in Vegas. They missed the bus. We found out. But why are we finding out that he got fined multiple times?" Sharpe said on the Nightcap podcast.
Sharpe was referring to a report that has recently siurfaced and it said that, "Coach Brian Schottenheimer alluded to Pickens still being late to things, and multiple sources said Pickens was fined during the season."
George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb missed the team bus to Monday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. This led to Schottenheimer benching both of them on the accord of for disciplinary reasons. This incident was widely reported. Even Jerry Jones commented on it.

But what Sharpe has a problem with is why the other reports of Pickens being fined didn't make it to the media. Even Chad Johnson backed this when he was talking about it.
"Now, whatever sanctioning bodies find them for whatever reason, maybe been being late and all that stuff, but they purposely do stuff like this on purpose. They purposely do stuff like this on purpose to kind of diminish your value," he said. This adds another layer of uncertainty to Pickens' future.
Where do Jerry Jones and George Pickens Stand?
The good news is that both parties seem to want the same outcome. “I’m looking forward to getting things worked out so George can be a Cowboy a long time," Jerry Jones has said.
The 24-year-old has also made it clear at the Pro Bowl that he wishes to be with the Dallas Cowboys. But he also pointed out that it is not in his hands and that he’s hoping for the best in the negotiation process.
What happened with Micah Parsons last year is an example. Plus, Jones has recently said," Micah got priced away from us. It was just worth more to us to have the picks than to have him. I’m serious.”
Could things go south with George Pickens as well? Let us know what you think in the comments.
