3x Pro Bowler Backs Maxx Crosby Amidst Trade Rumors With Dallas Cowboys

Former star wide receiver and three-time Pro Bowler Dez Bryant supports the Dallas Cowboys in upgrading their defense. More importantly, he wants to see defensive end Maxx Crosby join the team via a trade.

The former wide receiver responded to 105.3 The Fan via X, saying, “@CrosbyMaxx it’s only right!” He made his approval clear, urging the Cowboys' front office to bring the Pro Bowler to AT&T Stadium.

As per NFL insider Albert Breer, “I’d lean towards a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week…” Multiple teams are keeping tabs on the defensive end, and one of them is the Dallas Cowboys.

There are two options for the Cowboys and Jerry Jones: trade either of the picks and get an elite defensive end, or try your luck at the draft for someone much younger than Crosby. Their number 12 and 20 picks could be key for the Raiders, who are looking to rebuild their team after a poor season.

This could be a situation where the Cowboys win now and win tomorrow as well, as the defensive end is only 28.

This is the same price Dallas got for Micah Parsons. Knowing how bad the Cowboys' defense has been, will they make a play for Crosby?

What does Crosby bring to the Dallas defense?

The defensive end would bring stability to the defense and its fans. Crosby was also one of the captains for the Raiders, so he will bring leadership to that plagued defense.

In the 2025 NFL season, Crosby finished with 45 solo tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception.

And the Cowboys may be willing to pay the price, especially after Jerry Jones promised to bolster the defense.

"And so all of those things I want to do everything we possibly can to stop somebody and to basically win some third downs more than we did last year. And so I think that would be the area that you would see me bust the budget. Where you would see me do that is what we're doing defensively."
