Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was among the NFL stars who attended the star-studded wedding of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift.

Being one of the most anticipated events of the year, Swift and Kelce officially confirmed that they exchanged vows via Swift's representative and through a billboard advertisement outside their wedding venue, Madison Square Garden in New York City, on July 3.

"Already, it appears as though Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is in town with some of his and Kelce's former teammates," Jack McKessy and Jacob Camenker of USA Today reported. "Tony Romo, a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS NFL analyst, is also in New York."

Other NFL stars who were present at the venue include the San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, the Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford, the New York Giants wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield.

Former soccer player Abby Wambach, former NFL defensive end Derek Wolfe, and Seattle Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp were also photographed outside the Garden.

Swift, who is notably a New York Knicks fan, also invited five members of the Knicks' championship-winning starting lineup to her wedding.

"That lineup includes point guard and NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, as well as Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns," Jack McKessy and Jacob Camenker of USA Today reported.

Sportspersons and reporters from around the world were invited to the wedding too.

Former NFL WR Julian Edelman, American sportscaster Charissa Thompson, Fox Sports' Erin Andrews, ESPN's Joe Buck and Michelle Beisner-Buck, and former Tennis player Jack Sock graced the event.

The Chiefs' coaching staff and teammates were present at the wedding as well.

The Chiefs' head coach, Andy Reid, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, equipment manager Allen Wright, and tight ends coach Tom Melvin were in New York.

The wedding night event in MSG will reportedly host a huge party with a castle set and musical performances, according to Matt Donnelly and Mark Malkin of Variety.

Detroit Lions running back Isiah Pacheco, the Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, and Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones were also part of the long-extended list of over 1,000 people invited to the wedding.

Tony Romo's on-air slip came full circle

Tony Romo, who currently serves as an NFL analyst on CBS, had jokingly referred to Swift as Kelce's "wife" two different times. Once, notably, during a broadcast appearance for the Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills in 2023.

"As you see, Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience," Romo said, per Jack McKessy of USA Today. "Or I'm sorry, girlfriend."

Romo made another slip-up by calling Swift Kelce's "wife" two weeks later while broadcasting the matchup of the Chiefs against the Las Vegas Raiders, after Kelce made his 900th career reception.

Though Romo was jokingly referring to them as a married couple and was teasing fans at that time, his remarks came full circle years later, as he was among the guests invited to Kelce and Swift's wedding.
