The Dallas Cowboys showed that their defense is as strong as ever against the LA Rams. The joint practice session gave many a glimpse of the Cowboys' performance, and there's plenty to praise.
Here are five players from the Dallas Cowboys who stood out during the practice against the Rams. This list is not arranged in any order or ranking.
Quinnen Williams - DT
The Tuesday practice session was a display of dominance from Quinnen Williams. He had four tackles, which included two for a loss along with a sack, as per Star-Telegram's Nick Harris.
His defensive game was a driving force that spelled trouble for the LA Rams. The player's performance is vital given his DT position, and thankfully for the Cowboys, he's making good on it all, as also suggested by this The Landry Hat article.
Shavon Revel - CB
Shavon Revel proved that his tackling is on par with just about any player on the Rams' side. He was quite the star against players like Puka Nacua, intercepting a fade meant for him in the red zone and breaking a deep ball.
He even managed to make the Rams fumble at one point, forcing a struggle on one of their running backs. Revel's performance was impressive on multiple levels.
George Pickens - WR
George Pickens showed that he had the hunger it takes to defeat the Rams. The 25-year-old Wide Receiver caught a back-shoulder throw from Dak Prescott and also received a catch in the middle, taking the ball forward.

Afterwards, he kicked away an end zone pylon as a symbol of celebration. Pickens' performance was noteworthy, and his envious Summer record only makes it more impressive.
Justin Barron - LB
For most of Barron's rookie year, he was on the practice squad. Against the LA Rams, he scored three interceptions. One of these was against the Rams' star quarterback, Matthew Stafford.
As he scored his third interception, the practice session came to an end. However, the Linebacker has made quite an impression and may be well on his way to making the roster.
DeMarvion Overshown - LB
Another Linebacker who stole the show was DeMarvion Overshown. He made stops against the run and the pass. From one sideline to the other, his relentless speed and stamina were yet again a spectacle worth witnessing.
He was likely one of the strongest contenders for the MIKE Linebacker positions. Perhaps it's best if the position remains his, but it comes with great responsibility as the defense's communicator.
