Dallas came into Week 2 looking for a response after losing to the Giants in the season opener. Against Washington, the Cowboys found their rhythm and picked up a 37-20 win.

Five players stood out as Dallas moved to 1-1.

5. Jaishawn Barham, LB

After a difficult Week 1, Jaishawn Barham came back with a much stronger performance against Washington. The rookie linebacker made one of Dallas’ biggest defensive plays when he forced a fumble that quickly turned into points.

“This week, Barham responded by performing much better,” analyst Randy Gurzi wrote on Sports Illustrated.

Barham knocked the ball loose from Dyami Brown in the third quarter, and Dee Winters recovered it for Dallas. Two plays later, Dak Prescott found Jake Ferguson for a touchdown, pushing the Cowboys’ lead to 27-13, according to Cowboys Wire.

4. Brandon Aubrey, K

Brandon Aubrey once again gave the Cowboys a reliable scoring option from distance. His biggest moment came in the fourth quarter, when Dallas turned to him for a 60-yard field goal with a comfortable lead.

“Aubrey has made it look routine,” Gurzi pointed to the kicker’s range.

Aubrey finished with three field goals, including kicks from 25, 44 and 60 yards. The 60-yarder was his seventh career field goal from at least 60 yards, extending his NFL record.

3. Jake Ferguson, TE

Jake Ferguson quickly made up for a quiet opening week. The tight end became one of Dak Prescott’s favorite targets in the red zone and found the end zone twice during Dallas’ win.

“Ferguson was a red zone beast with eight touchdown receptions,” Gurzi noted.

Ferguson caught all four of his targets for 43 yards, with touchdown receptions of 10 and 12 yards. His second score came after Barham’s forced fumble and gave Dallas a 27-13 advantage.

2. CeeDee Lamb, WR

CeeDee Lamb was involved from the opening drive and stayed at the center of Dallas’ passing game throughout the afternoon. His connection with Prescott helped the Cowboys build an early lead and finish the game strongly.

“Lamb was the go-to guy all day,” Gurzi added.

The wide receiver finished with eight catches on nine targets for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown and later added a 24-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

1. Dak Prescott, QB

Dak Prescott delivered one of his strongest performances of the season in Dallas’ first home win. The quarterback kept the offense moving all afternoon while also reaching a major franchise milestone.

“Dak Prescott just continues to deliver,” Gurzi wrote.

Prescott completed 26 of 31 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns without an interception.

His second touchdown to Lamb gave him 249 career touchdown passes, moving him past Tony Romo for the most in Cowboys history. He also added 26 rushing yards as Dallas improved to 1-1.

Dallas got the response it needed in Week 2, bouncing back from the Giants loss with a 37-20 win over Washington. Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb led the way on offense, while Jaishawn Barham and Brandon Aubrey also came up with big moments.

With the Cowboys now 1-1, the Week 2 win also gave them some momentum heading into their next matchup.
