Brandon Aiyuk is facing heavy criticism after taking a shot at Jayden Daniels on Instagram, and his comments quickly caught fans' attention, with many not holding back while reacting to the 49ers wide receiver.

NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared Aiyuk's Instagram story on X. In the clip, the 49ers wide receiver talks about Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

“Oh Boy: 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk went OFF on Commanders QB Jayden Daniels on Instagram,” Kleiman posted on July 5. “Brandon has made it clear he only wants to play for the Commanders, but this definitely won't help. Aiyuk needs some serious help.”

Aiyuk shared the Instagram post on Saturday, after Daniels was at a FIFA World Cup match where a 49ers fan shouted, “F--- Brandon Aiyuk.”

Daniels smiled during the moment, something Aiyuk did not appreciate. Aiyuk later responded on his Instagram Story with a message for Daniels.

“Probably going to text me talking about something: 'You on my team now. You follow my rules. Boy, I’m a grown-a** man. You gonna have to stop running behind your mama, and I might believe what you talking about. But until then, mm-mm,” Aiyuk said on his Instagram story.

Aiyuk replied with another Instagram Story, this time tagging Daniels directly.

“Enjoy retirement pal,” Aiyuk posted.

The incident quickly became a huge talking point on social media, with much of the attention shifting to Aiyuk’s response.

The comment summed up the frustration many fans felt after Aiyuk's posts.

"Aiyuk is garbage," one fan wrote.

The fan questioned Aiyuk's behavior following the exchange with Daniels.

"He just very performative," one fan joked.

"The Commanders have one of the best Front Offices in Professional Sports. You think they want this n****** around their Franchise QB, especially during the critical stages of Daniels' development right now? Aiyuk has seen his last days in the NFL. Good riddance IMO," another fan wrote.

The reaction showed how strongly some users felt about the receiver's comments.

"Is there no one in his circle to tell him to shut the f*** up??" one user added.
